Pares Weather Research is a private self funded research project.

Which means it is his time and whatever resources he can put toward advancing this research of the Electronic Fog and Linear Displacement of aircraft (Local Space Warp).

Bruce Gernon piloted a Beech A-36 Bonanza aircraft on 4 December 1970, and was surrounded by thunderstorms while on a business trip flying over the Bermuda Triangle toward Miami. Bruce was trapped with no way out, until he observed and entered what he described as a sucker hole in a large and powerful thunderstorm. Near the end of the tunnel the aircraft entered an electronic fog. Emerging seconds later Gernon discovered via radio contact in Florida, and later confirmed by fuel logs and ground registries that during that portion of the trip he was displaced about a hundred miles from the entry point of the cloud.

Miguel Alcubierre
Space Warp Research

In 1994 Miguel Alcubierre came up with the Space Warp concept, in which he proposed a method in theory to cause the fabric of space ahead of a spacecraft to contract and the space behind it to expand. A ship would ride inside this region characterized as a local space warp bubble of flat space.  Since the ship is not moving within this bubble, it is just carried along, as the region itself moves. Conventional relativistic effects are not violated since it is just the contraction of the metric of space in front of it and the expansion and return to normal space behind the object.

A ship using this methodology could reach its destination faster than a light beam restricted to travelling outside the warp bubble. Some theoretical calculations indicate that it may be possible to go the equivalent of 100 times the speed of light in a space warp scenario.

Professor Pares and his assistant, Matt Judah have recently conducted laboratory experiments demonstrating the existence of micro space warp.

Inspired by his own craft sighting, at the age of 16, Professor Pares has explored the concept of linear displacement.

Pares uses an original concept developed by Miguel Alcubierre who proposed the concept of bending space in front of a vehicle to achieve faster (though not local) than light travel.  Pares has applied Alcubierre’s thoughts to the story of Bruce Gernon, the only known human being to have reportedly experienced a phenomenon of linear displacement (“space warp”).

This has been the main focus of the continuing research.
